WELCOME
Contemporary art in Northern Ireland thrives in a wide variety of locations, from large scale galleries like The MAC, the Golden Thread Gallery and the Ulster Museum in Belfast; the F E McWilliam Gallery & Studio in Banbridge; the Millennium Court Arts Centre in Portadown, to smaller spaces such the Crescent Arts Centre and Artisan Gallery in Belfast, and the Battletown Gallery and the Georgian and Sunburst Galleries at the Ards Arts Centre in Newtownards. There are numerous galleries, workshops, artists’ studios and open spaces such as the Belfast Cathedral Quarter and Laganside now devoted to painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, performance and installations.
